Polygonum cuspidatum
A fast-growing plant native to East Asia, used for centuries in Traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. Japanese Knotweed is the most concentrated natural source of trans-resveratrol — the stilbenoid compound studied extensively for its role in activating longevity-linked sirtuin pathways.

“Systematic review and meta-analysis of 17 RCTs (n=736) examining resveratrol supplementation on inflammatory markers. Resveratrol significantly reduced TNF-alpha (p=0.002) and hs-CRP (p=0.033) versus placebo, supporting its use as an adjunct anti-inflammatory agent in metabolic diseases.”Koushki et al., Clinical Therapeutics, 2018
“Updated meta-analysis of 35 RCTs evaluating resveratrol's effect on C-reactive protein. Resveratrol significantly reduced both hs-CRP (-0.40 mg/L, p=0.01) and CRP (-0.31 mg/L, p<0.001). Subgroup analysis showed that supplementation lasting 10 weeks or longer had the greatest effect.”Gorabi et al., Phytotherapy Research, 2021

The collagen cliff, glycation, gut-skin axis disruption, structural protein loss — these happen below the surface. Serums can't reach them. Here's what actually can.
Resveratrol had a dramatic rise as the longevity supplement. Then the human data arrived. Here's an honest read of what the mechanism actually is, where the mouse-to-human translation failed, and what realistic expectations look like.
