Turkey Trot Morning: 4 Steps From the Night Before to the Finish
A Thanksgiving 5K starts the night before and ends seven hours before dinner. Here's the four-step timeline, with no extra caffeine anywhere.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. For a lot of people it starts with a bib number, a cold 8AM start line, and a 5K.
Most Turkey Trot advice is about pacing and carbs. The parts that go wrong are elsewhere: waking up dry, a second coffee that sends you to the porta-potty line, and a seven-hour gap between the finish and the meal.
Here's the timeline in four steps: the night before, breakfast, the start line, and the finish. One product for each, and each runs on its own schedule under our Smart Cycling protocol.
The Night Before: Drink With Dinner
Cold weather blunts thirst. Thanksgiving week runs on coffee and travel. Plenty of runners reach the start line already a little behind on fluid, and a 5K is too short to catch up during it.
Drinking a liter of water at 6AM doesn't fix it. Most of it ends up in the porta-potty line.
Hydration Powder (Lychee) carries 202 mg of potassium, 95 mg of sodium, 35 mg of calcium, and 21 mg of magnesium per scoop. Electrolytes support the body's fluid balance, and sodium helps you hold on to the water you drink.*
It's Daily on our Smart Cycling protocol, one scoop a day. Electrolytes have no receptor to reset, so there's nothing to cycle.
When: one scoop in a tall glass with dinner the night before. Not at bedtime, unless you want to be up at 3AM.
Breakfast: Today's Creatine Dose
Every race has a last 200 meters. That's where the sprint finish lives, and it runs on the fastest energy system your muscles have.
It's also where most race-morning advice overpromises. No single scoop makes you faster that day.
Creatine Hydration Powder (Lemon) carries 5,000 mg of creatine monohydrate, plus 1,000 mg of sodium, 200 mg of potassium, and 66 mg of magnesium. Creatine raises phosphocreatine stores in muscle, which regenerate ATP during short, hard efforts. That supports power output.*
Here's the honest part: creatine works by building up in muscle over weeks of daily use. Race morning's scoop is just today's dose. If you start now, you'll have a few weeks of saturation behind you by Thursday. If you start Thursday, you're starting for next year.
It's Daily on our Smart Cycling protocol, 5 g a day. Creatine has no dose threshold to cycle; it works through steady stores. The 1,000 mg of sodium also tops up what you'll sweat out under a jacket.
Don't shop alone. Build with Myco.
Tell Myco your goals. He'll pull the three compounds that fit your life and time-zone.
The Start Line: Skip the Second Coffee
Nerves plus a cold morning make a second coffee feel like a plan. Then you're in a porta-potty line with 10 minutes to the gun and your heart rate already up.
If you drink coffee every morning, race day isn't the day to quit. Have your usual cup. Just don't add a second one at the start line.
Cordyceps Energy Plus Gummies combine 200 mg of cordyceps extract with 25 mg each of GABA, ginkgo leaf, L-glutamine, and DMAE. Cordyceps supports cellular energy production and oxygen use.* There's no caffeine in them.
Our Smart Cycling protocol cycles cordyceps 8wk on / 4wk off only from 500 mg of extract a day. At 200 mg, these run Daily.
Like creatine, cordyceps works through daily use, not a single dose. Take one or two with breakfast from now through race day. Stick to that: ginkgo and DMAE can feel activating above the label dose.
The Finish: Protein Before the Long Wait
You finish at 9AM. Dinner is at 4PM. In between are seven hours of cooking, chips, and pie tasting.
Your legs just did the work, and the next real meal is most of a day away.
Whey Protein Isolate (Chocolate) delivers 22 g of protein per scoop. Whey isolate is rich in leucine, the amino acid that switches on muscle protein synthesis. Protein after exercise supports muscle recovery.*
It's Daily on our Smart Cycling protocol. Protein is food, not a compound with a receptor, so there's nothing to cycle.
When: shake it with cold milk in the car after the finish. It tastes like chocolate milk, and it holds you until the turkey.
Electrolytes with dinner. Creatine and cordyceps with breakfast, both started weeks before. Your usual coffee and no second cup. Protein at the finish. That's the whole timeline.
Two of these four only work if they're already in your routine, so the real start line is today. Training through winter? Read the Performance stack for people who sit all day and train anyway. Hosting after the race? We mapped that too, in 4 Moments Holiday Hosting Spikes Your Stress.

Natural Testosterone Support: What the Research Shows (And What It Doesn't)
No supplement will double your testosterone. Any product claiming 300% increases is misrepresenting rodent data or fabricating results. What natural compounds can do is meaningful but modest — free testosterone increases in the range of 10–25% over 8–12 weeks. For a man with low-normal levels, that's the difference between sluggish and functional. Here's what the clinical evidence actually supports, with honest effect sizes and clear boundaries.
